Here is the first ever St. Brigid Farm blog contest. I hear they are all the rage. We are having a dickens of a time naming these 2 goats. Please help us.
Contest closes, Friday, May 23rd at 11:00PM. Our family will vote on the names and the winner will be announced no later than Sunday afternoon (could be sooner if it's easy).
The winner will receive a St. Brigid Farm gift pack. This could include, but is not limited to, such things as a bumper sticker, magnet, stationary and if you live close enough, a dozen eggs. :)
Submit one name for each goat and be sure to leave a valid email address.
(ADDENDUM: the gift pack will be items chosen from our shop at Cafepress.)
This is our little doeling. She may be kept to become a future milker. She was born first and is the smallest of the three.

(Sorry, had early-morning typos)
The doe is definitely Cocoa!
And what better thing to go with cocoa than a buck named Marshmallow (Marsh for short).
Now I'm getting hungry... :-)
Cocoa is good, although I don't know about marshmmallow. You could call them coffee and latte, cookie and cream or heck, what about Bud and Cissy? Down here we would call them them both cabrito and have a BBQ, LOL!
I enjoy your blog, one of these days I want to get my own acreage and do what you and James(of the NW) are doing. Let us know what you name them.
Oh, I agree with Liz, Cocoa and Marshmallow.
Doe- Sophie (not sure why, she just looks like a Sophie to me)
Buck- Mr. Knightley (he looks so gentle and kind)
Obviously, these names do not go together at all, but those are my submissions: michelle@michellemccallum.com
Sue-- I think for the Doe it should be called Buttercream or Butterscotch and for the buck it should be called Pokey or Jupiter.
Good Luck with the contest.

How about Wilbur and Charlotte? What more appropriate names for barnyard critters!Love you guys! Mom and Willard
I like Spotted Dick for the male, or perhaps pepperoni (wonder what goat pepperoni would taste like on a pizza w/ goat cheese???)

Okay, if we have Spotted Dick, then the doe must be Lobscouse...
The little one should be Feta or Mudpie.
The buck should be Lefty (it's Biblical... "goats shall be at my left hand...") or Oliver. Just cuz.
there. :)
I really think that little buck looks like a Milky Way! And what comes to my mind with the little doeling is Snickerdoodle! She just looks like a Snickerdoodle to me! LOL....
